Data Privacy & Security
Learn how Clase Arena keeps student data local, teacher accounts secure, and remains compliant with privacy laws.
FERPA Compliant by Design
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects student education records. We believe teachers shouldn't have to worry about third-party misuse of student progress.
Student data stays on your device. While Clase Arena is a web application, it is designed with a "Local-First" architecture for classroom data. We don't store student names, behavior logs, or progress on our servers. This data remains on your physical hardware, giving you 100% ownership and control.
Teacher Accounts & Auth
To provide secure access and Premium features, we store Teacher Account Information (Email and Name/Nickname) using Google Firebase Authentication. This data is encrypted and isolated. No student-identifying data is associated with these accounts.
Secure Payments (Stripe)
Premium subscriptions are handled by Stripe. Clase Arena LLC never sees or stores your credit card number or billing details. Stripe manages the secure transaction and PCI compliance entirely on their PCI-certified infrastructure.
COPPA Compliance
Students do not create accounts or log in. Because this is a teacher-facing dashboard, we avoid COPPA liabilities. The app only needs a student's first name or nickname to generate their hero character and party, all of which remains in your local browser storage or private file.
Functional Cookies Only
We do not use tracking pixels, ad-cookies, or behavior profiling. We use Functional Cookies and Local Storage solely to maintain your login session and save your app settings (Dark Mode, volume, etc.) for a seamless experience.
Your Data Rights
As a teacher, you have the right to request the export or complete deletion of your account information. Since student data is local, you can delete it instantly by clearing your browser cache or deleting your saved `.json` database file.
